Dashboard switch escutcheon (and clutch) tool BB392

In Stock

Buttys Bits made these to help with undoing and tightening dashboard switches , those annoying aluminium switch nuts. These are made for genuine switches and reproduction as it seems repro switches the makers made up their own sizes and shapes of slots . The slotted ones are for switches that have a stalk coming out of them and the slotless ones are for hazard switches and light switches , the centre slot is so it can be used for clutch cable wing nut tightening .In the image with various arrows it should help explain the uses . This is the second generation of these I hopefully listened to feedback and made 3 changes to help improve it .

  • Slotted for 12v switches that have a centre shaft coming out like wiper switches
  • Slotted for 6v switches as above
  • Slotted but flat edge this works well on the new reproduction switches that have just flat slots in them (I had to grind a small amount off the sides to fit into 1 type of repro switch ) So please you may need to alter to suit the switches you have .
  • Non slotted will work on 12v 6v switches that have nothing getting in the way on the centre section

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU MAY NEED TO ALTER / TWEEK TO SUIT YOUR SWITCHES , UNFORTUNATELY NOT ALL SWITCH ESCUTCHEONS ARE THE SAME .

These are stainless steel then rumbled to remove sharp edges .
